What is Love?

What is love?

Some definitions now a days explain love as a compassionate bond between two people.

Others define love as a respect for another as you would respect and love yourself.

Some people don't even have an opinion of love.

I will assure you love is some of these but not a real definition of it, because when people think love they think about cute little things, pony's, perfection, happiness and no negativity what-so-ever.

Not saying this is bad, this is a good thing shows the person has a healthy outlook on love, but love isn't all rainbows and sunshine, its a combination of the good and the bad. The bad being things like, arguments, opposite points of view, anger, etc.

These things combined create love because, if you can imagine, even the best couple had times when they fought and got to the end. I am sure you have friends or know people who seemed PERFECT together but they broke up? One of them cheated or something came up, or after a short argument he/she left the other, etc, etc.

The reason for this is because our creator wanted nothing more then us to enjoy life but if something that we enjoy happens consistently we start to lose variety, which is one of our 6 human needs (will cover this in a later blog posting). So for us to experience challenge its just to make us stronger, to test us and to find out if we really love someone. The reason for sadness and pain is just to enhance the greatness of love. Without gravity our bones would not become strong, same is with love, without pain we can not be more loving then before.

In a nutshell, all love really is, is an emotion that dominates the universe and all pain is, is our teacher and examiner. Pass the exam and become one with unconditional love and you will notice how easily everything in your life flows.

Best wishes,

Adil
